Daniela Ochoa Diaz joined The Fairmount Group as a program manager in 2019. Daniela is a sexual and reproductive justice advocate, facilitator, and an abortion story teller. Daniela has communications, research, lobbying, and policy analysis experience.
Prior to joining The Fairmount Group, Daniela spent four years as the Membership Manager at the National Abortion Federation (NAF), working with a diverse membership composed of providers and individuals dedicated to the field of abortion care. Daniela has also worked in direct provision of abortion care as a multilingual patient educator at the Allentown Women’s Center in Bethlehem, PA. Daniela also worked in corruption and whistleblowing protection for the Mexican Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Energy via the Organization of Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD) in Paris, France. Through this experience Daniela gained expertise in policy analysis and is published with the OECD.
Daniela holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from The American University of Paris and a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, French Language & Literature from Lafayette College. In her academic trajectory, Daniela has focused on Global Sexual and Reproductive Health, Comparative Politics, and the study of States, and Social Revolutions. These disciplines inform aspects of her advocacy which focuses strongly on the intersection of reproductive justice, HIV/Aids, and immigration from a global perspective.
Daniela stays active in the frontlines of organizing in DC as she serves as the Board Chair of Many Languages One Voice, an immigrant led organization aimed to empower and uplift limited and non-English proficient communities aimed at youth, and an adult labor chapter. Daniela is fluent in Spanish and French.
