Alison Bibb-Carson is an accomplished writer, editor and public relations professional. She specializes in media relations, publication and web writing, editing and proofreading in the areas of healthcare, women’s issues, the arts, and multicultural communications. Alison joined The Fairmount Group in 2011 with several years of wide-ranging communications experience at both the local and national levels.
A sought-after communications freelancer since 2005, Alison has spearheaded a number of communications efforts for local organizations, including serving as the Web Editor for Speaking of Women’s Health, an initiative of Cleveland Clinic; working as a Multicultural Public Relations Specialist for the marketing firm Singleton & Partners to promote African American tourism through the Ohio Tourism Division; and serving as Public Relations Consultant for the T. Howard Foundation, a nonprofit that increases diversity in the media and entertainment industry. She also serves as Managing Editor for Parking magazine.
During her professional career, she coordinated and directed public and media relations for a number of high profile national and local organizations, including the Cleveland Museum of Art, University Circle, Inc., the Cleveland Play House, University Hospitals Case Medical Center and the Communications Consortium Media Center in Washington, D.C.
Alison is a skilled and experienced public speaker and reporter. She has worked as a live-broadcast host for Cleveland Indians baseball and as a live events emcee for Radio Disney in Cleveland. She also previously reviewed Cleveland-area restaurants for Northern Ohio Live magazine.
Alison earned a B.S. in Interpersonal Communication from Ohio University and she studied media and public affairs at George Washington University in Washington D.C.
